Hurricane Irma has come and gone; and even through we were spared the eye of the storm, our area was still impacted greatly. We were very lucky that the storm moved west last second, and we are saddened for the people that were in the direct path of this powerful storm.

By now, all homes on our list have been inspected and you should have received an email with the inspection notes and pictures of your home. In order to complete the inspections as quickly as possible and ensuring the safety of my employees as there were power outages, street lights out, and a bit of chaos we completed the inspections with two men crews. If you did not receive your report please let us know so we can get it over to you right away. Florida Power and Light still reports as of Thursday at 4:00 pm that there are still over 158,000 residence in Palm Beach County without power.

Even though things are returning to normal, we are still feeling the impacts of Hurricane Irma. There are gas shortages and long lines at gas stations, curfew has just been suspended, and getting supplies is not an easy task. The south part of Palm Beach county has it even worse then the north part of the county. Our office did not receive power and internet until yesterday morning at 10:00 am.

I am extremely proud of my team as they spent tireless hours not only before the storm but after as well, making sure that your homes were secured and protected. Many of our employees are still without power to their homes. If there was a problem with securing your home or any issues with our service please contact me so I am aware as we are striving to provide the highest level of service . Our goal has been to give you as much peace of mind as possible during an event like this.

We did encounter some difficulties while trying to secure your home as well as getting them inspected quickly as many of the HOA associations would not allow our crew to enter the community prior to 8:00 AM and was asking us to leave at 5:00 PM. We could have worked earlier and later which would have allowed us to do things more quickly and efficiently. The rule that only allows you to put shutters up 3 days prior, in my opinion, should be changed, when there is a storm in the Atlantic that has a chance of forming, we should be allowed to start installing shutters and closing accordions to give us more time to complete this process as well as helping ease your nerves in worrying about your home getting secured. The path of storms as we all know is extremely unpredictable and can change quickly.

As we move past this storm, we reflect on our strengths and weaknesses. I welcome any suggestions and input on how we can improve our service so we can better serve our customers . I want to thank you for your kind words and patience as we continue to work through the mess that Hurricane Irma has left us with. I will continue to keep you updated. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact us at anytime.
