Ficus Whitefly Control

The ficus whitefly is an exotic pest first detected in 2007, it was reported attacking ficus trees and hedges in Miami-Dade County, but now it is found in all of South Florida. This whitefly causes extensive damage to ficus trees and hedges. The leaves of ficus trees infested with whiteflies begin to turn yellow before the leaves are dropped from the plant. Defoliation is one of the most obvious symptoms of an infestation of ficus whitefly. However, if you have defoliation, you have had the whitefly for numerous months. Jason Frein: A Hero!

Frein was on board a boat riding alongside Gloria Melendez and her family when the families smaller white motorboat capsized after being slammed by a large wave. "From when I saw the splash until when I realized what had happened, it was already flipped", said Frein. South Florida’s Drought

A broad swath of Central and South Florida has its driest few months in nearly 80 years. The South Florida Water Management District said its area of oversight, 16 counties from Orlando to Key West, got less rain November through February than any other year since it started keeping records in 1932. "Surface and ground water supplies are declining at a significant rate," said Tommy Strowd, SFWMD deputy executive director of operations and maintenance. "The existing situation and the long-term forcast for continued extreme dry conditions make water conservation efforts essential."

Roof Inspections

Roof inspections are extremely important this Spring season. A leaky roof can cause mold issues and foundation problems, amongst a plethora of other issues. If you see a wet spot on your ceiling, contact us to investigate the situation for you. Even if you don't spot a wet circle on your ceiling, it is beneficial to have your roof inspected for loose tiles, gaps or openings, poor caulking around your chimney, and to check if your gutters need to be cleaned.
